Who’s Gonna Pray for Me?

I laid my Mom to rest on December 14th of 2022. The days leading up to I’ll never forget, all the events and the emotions.

And as I went through that process, the business and the grieving, I thought, well, who’s going to pray for me now?  This is what The Holy Spirit put on my heart:

There’s nothing like a Mother’s prayer… When she prays for her children, the Most High attends to her prayer

A Mother’s Prayer

A Mother prays for the protection of her children when they are unaware.

A Mother prays for her children’s forgiveness and fills up their account cuz she knows that they’ll quickly run out.

Who’ll pray for me now that you’re gone?

Maybe you’ve passed me the baton, so now I’m to pray for our next generation to make sure they have excess in their accounts…

Was this what you were preparing me for?

It’s such a great responsibility.  I should have told you I wasn’t ready. Would you have stayed a little longer, adding more to my account?

I am my Mother’s Child

I didn’t understand the significance of what you were doing and preparing me for. Just like a child, I thought you’d be here forever cuz you’re my superhero!

I took you for granted and didn’t realize time is short. So… The Most High Ahayah does what He does best and calls you to rest.

I can’t express how much I miss you and how much I needed you and still do, but you gave me everything I would need to walk my road.

You introduced me to Christ, through your life taught me about prayer, and you showed me redemption when you fell and repented. You showed me healing when you were sick, you showed me deliverance as you overcame obstacles, and an unwavering faith when you didn’t know how you were going to make ends meet.

Well, it’s time for me to stop lamenting and get to the charge you left for me, pick up the baton, and get to work.

Thank you, Ahayah, for my Mom, the time, and the lessons you gave us. Thank you, Mom, for giving us your all.

Y’all pray for me.

I pray this blesses you, reading my journal entry, as much as it did for me to write.

May the Most High Ahayah Bless you and yours.
