What & where is the house of God?

I woke up this morning thinking about this, and the Holy Spirit sweetly but firmly told me I am the house of God. I thought, what a powerful declaration; then she asked how I had been living in his house. As his tenant, how had I been treating his house? Well, I know how I act when invited to someone’s house. I try to ensure I don’t leave a mess, am respectful, clean up after myself, and ensure the host knows I am grateful.

But the house I have been invited to rent from The Most High is cluttered with regrets, wishes, and imaginations of the shoulda, woulda, and couldas. Instead of being grateful for where I am and what I have been given, I look for more, but I am never satisfied. Knowing I need to change but not changing, instead of living in the house, I am dying in it. That’s not how we are to live in The House of God…
