Humble Beginnings, Unshakable Foundation

Raised in the South by a young single mother, Matazadach’s upbringing was shaped by strong family ties and deep musical roots. His aunts were like sisters, his uncles like brothers, and his mother a rock of resilience. Early exposure to the sounds of the early 2000s—artists like 50 Cent, Stack Bundles, T.I., Jeezy, and Young Dro—ignited his love for hip-hop.

But it was his brother, Dawadah Arak, who planted the seed of artistry in him at just 13, writing Matazadach his very first song. From that moment, a fire was lit—not just for rhymes, but for storytelling with purpose.
