A Voice Born in the Isles of Wood and Water

Born Rhoan Dell on August 30, 1982, and raised in the lush hills of Westmoreland, Jamaica—a land known for its untouched natural beauty and spiritual depth—Raash was immersed in music from an early age. He attended New Roads All Age School and was inspired by a mix of musical legends like Tracy Chapman, Yellow Man, and Admiral Bailey.

By first grade, his journey had begun. By thirteen, he was known as DJ the Singing Sensation, performing alongside Royal Roots, and taking stages that would lay the foundation for a life-long calling.

His raw talent caught attention quickly, including a major early appearance at Spanish Town Prison Oval during a Love FM concert in 1995. Even then, the Most High had His hand on the young artist’s life.

The Truth Changes Everything

After years in the Gospel scene, including winning Best New Artiste of the Year at the 2012 Atlanta Caribbean Gospel Music Awards, Raash experienced his greatest transformation. In the summer of 2015, he found the Truth, accepted his Hebrew heritage, and began calling on the name of Ahayah.

“Once I found the Truth, it was hard to deny the power of The Most High,” Raash shares.
“And the overwhelming joy that comes with knowing I am Israel made all the difference.”
