From the heart of Washington, D.C., to the growing stages of Charlotte, NC, Trice E—known to fans as “The Hebrew Gyrl”—is carving out a powerful place for herself in the world of Hebrew Roots and Gospel-infused Hip-Hop. Her music isn’t just entertainment; it’s testimony, truth, and artistry all wrapped in one.
Trice E’s journey began in the church choir, where her natural gift for singing quickly moved her into lead solo roles under the direction of Lisa Henderson, Bennett B. Gamble, and the late Sherry Harris. Her voice carried her far beyond the walls of her local church—placing her in honors choirs and on stages alongside icons.
She has sung background for legends such as Stevie Wonder, Patty Austin, and Christina Aguilera, and can even be spotted in the renowned remake of “I Believe I Can Fly” by Yolanda Adams with the world-famous Eastern Senior High School Choir. Under the direction of Dr. Joyce Garrett and gospel powerhouse Patrick Lundy, Trice E honed her craft and developed a stage presence that demands attention.
While her foundation is gospel, Trice E’s love for music spans genres—jazz, funk, rap, trap, and beyond. This passion for blending sounds led her to discover Truth Hip-Hop/Rap, a genre where her roots, faith, and artistry collide. The result? A fresh, innovative sound that is as powerful as it is authentic.
Her breakthrough came with her first number one hit, “Take Me Out,” produced by James Clark. The track showcases her ability to merge lyrical depth with infectious rhythm, proving that her music can move both the spirit and the body.
Independent and UnstoppableNow based in Charlotte, Trice E stands proudly as an independent artist under her self-created label, DTS Records—Dead to Sin Records. More than just a name, DTS reflects her mission: to create music that not only uplifts but also reminds listeners of their spiritual walk and identity.
With every performance, Trice E delivers an experience. Her sound—a vibrant blend of gospel soul, hip-hop grit, and jazz-inspired flow—offers listeners something familiar yet entirely new.
